Hello everyone, I have an XPS 13 and recently upgraded from preinstalled Vista to Win7 RC 7100. I reformatted the HD and everything installed fine except two things. Under device manager I can see two problems in the 'other devices' category: 1) Coprocessor -- says no drivers are installed for this device and cannot find anything (online or on the dell driver CD) to update. 2) 'Unknown device' -- doesn't give any info as to what this is except that it's on the PCI bus. Perhaps as a result of this, the computer is acting cranky. For example, when listening to music and browsing web, the music will slow down and clip when I'm scrolling up/down on a page. The computer overall seems sluggish in terms of performance. Any advice from others who've upgraded to WIN7 would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to go back to Vista if possible. Thanks, Yuji. I finally moved to Win 7 64bit RC last night as well! INSTALL PROCESS FOLLOWED: ----------------------------------- 1. Did a fresh install of Win7 on a seperate partition on HD.so my XPS M1330 it is a dual boot Vista64 and Win7 machine now. Win7 found all drivers except the same couple that you did no find. --Additional Drivers (Vista64 drivers used for following steps) 3. Installed chipset drivers from Intel 4. Install the Ricoh driver from dell (this is for the memory card reader driver) 6. Co-Processor is the fingerprint reader. Install from Upek 8. PS: I donot have the NVidea card so did not have to install the driver but those with it seem to be reporting that windows update finds a current driver for it anyway (I am not a gamer at all, so I saved the money saved on NVidea and put it towards the 128GB SSD that I got!). System runs cooler, better battery life, I do not have to worry about GPU going bad! The system is running flawless and I am liking Win7 64 RC. No crashes so far. Device Manager shows every component working great! Enjoy the beautiful machine! Hello everyone, I have an XPS 13 and recently upgraded from preinstalled Vista to Win7 RC 7100.
